Scholars Programme

International Centre for Peace Studies (ICPS) is pleased to announce the launching of its “Young Scholars Programme”, through which it intends to nurture and train budding Indian researchers in the field of peace and conflict studies.

The Institute considers it important to provide a platform to young Indian researchers/students/academics/journalists working on strategic issues which have implications for peace and security in the region and around the world.

As part the programme, the institute invites short commentaries/issue briefs/occasional papers on the following themes:

  • India and the Neighbourhood
  • Dealing with Threats to Peace in South Asia
  • Issues and Challenges in the Indian Ocean
  • Role of International Institutions in Nurturing Peace
  • Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence
  • The State of International Politics Today and India’s Options

The contributions will be published after proper review and assessment aimed at honing the research skills of young scholars.

The Institute reserves the right not to publish contributions found unsuitable for publication.

A small honorarium may be given to contributions selected for publication.

The contributions may be sent to cpsndjps@gmail.com and/or jps@icpsnet.org. The word length for comments should not be more than 800-100 words, for issue briefs, 2000-2500 words, for occasional papers/special features, 3000-4000 words, and for research papers 5000-6500 words. The hyperlinks may be embedded in the text for shorter articles. For longer articles in-text citations (Harvard style) should be followed. The articles should be neatly typed in double space using times new roman font with font size 12.
